Become a Host Family
Subject to the overall supervision of the local Rotary Club, the Host Family will provide the student with room and board, exercise parental responsibilities and supervision of the student as they would their own, and advise them about matters such as family, school and community functions and activities. The Host Family is responsible for the student physically, socially and spiritually. The student is expected to become a part of the family and to share duties and responsibilities. They are not to be treated as a guest or a servant, but as a regular family member. Our students are not au pairs. We usually ask students to have two to four host families during their exchange year so they can experience different American life styles, however we do have students who stay with a single host family for an entire year. Let us know what best suits you and your family.
Being a host family is a life-long rewarding experience. Please consider becoming a host family today!
All members of a host family over the age 18 must agree to have a background check.
